COVID-19 GUIDELINES – JERVIS BAY TRIATHLON CLUB – 10/08/2020
We are all responsible for playing our part in returning to group training and competition. As a Club we will do as much as we can, but we need individuals to follow the guidelines and play their part in ensuring a COVID-Safe training environment.

We need you to adhere to the following guidelines:
Stay at home if you feel unwell.Stay home if you have been in direct contact with a known case of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days, have been ordered to self isolate, or are at risk from a health perspective.Avoid bringing non-essential spectators/family membersPractise social distancing at all times and stay 1.5 metres away from other peopleCover any coughs or sneezes.Use hand sanitiser on arrival, prior to entering transition, and before leaving.Do not share or touch other people’s equipment.Rack your bike where indicated allowing 1.5m from other participants bikes. Keep transition gear to a minimum on the left side of your bike. No spitting or clearing of nasal/respiratory secretions.Ensure training is strictly non-contact – including no high fives, handshakes, hugs etc.Bring your own water bottle, towel and other personal equipment and avoid sharing equipment.Register online before the 4:00pm Friday of Training SessionWe will be capping total numbers as per our Booderee permit.Please only bring essential persons to Iluka. We also encourage everyone to download the Service NSW’s app  (Download: IOS, Android) and have it active. 


Group Training Conditions

Declaration: To be agreed by all participants or parents/guardians of participants under 18 years of age.As a participant in this training event conducted by the Jervis Bay Triathlon Club Inc (‘the Club’) I:Acknowledge that training events involve the real risk of serious injury, or risk of death, from various causes including but not limited to: over exertion, equipment failure, dehydration, accidents with other competitors, spectators and road users, unexpected hazards around the course and weather conditions.Understand that I should not participate in events unless I have prepared appropriately and my physical condition has been verified by a medical practitioner.Accept all risks arising from my participation which could result in loss of life or permanent injury. Accordingly, I release all peoples associated with the conduct of events including members of the club, medical and first aid practitioners and race marshals and will indemnify them against all liability (including liability for their negligence), for all injury loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in events. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns.Am aware that safety precautions undertaken by the club (such as course supervision, race safety briefings, bicycle and helmet safety checks) are a service to me and other competitors and are not a guarantee of safety.Agree to abide by all the Rules of Triathlon Australia and the club which relate, in part, to safe and fair sporting practice.Consent to the club using my name, image and likeness, before, during and after the event for promotional and reporting purposes in any media.Understand that the information I have provided herein may be included in a Triathlon Australia database and may be disclosed to Triathlon NSW, and Australian Institute of Sport, Australian Sports Commission, State Institutes and Academies of Sport and the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Agency.Have read this document and fully understand it.
