Interclub is all set to return to the South Coast for the 2019/2020 season.
Interclub 01 saw the Kiama Coasters dominate for most of the season as they cantered to the inaugural title. It was a close race behind with the remaining five clubs covered by just over 20 points.
Interclub 02 will start as it did last season, with a July Duathlon in Berry.
The Coasters just edged out the Eurocoast Nomads here last season by half a point which set the tone for the season. A strong start is essential for any club with title aspirations. With the event now in into its second year, a larger field is expected, especially as it is also the Triathlon NSW Duathlon State Championships.
Round 2 will see the debut off Little Husky at the start of November. It will be the Sprint distance that secures Performance Points and is the start of a big month of Interclub.
Later in November, the South Coast clubs will head to Kurnell for Round 3. A competitive field is expected with it being a Worlds Qualifying event.
Two weeks later, will see the return of Callala. An event that saw no shortage of points awarded last season, with three clubs maxing out.
The Christmas break arrives with four events down and four to go.
The run for home starts in early March with Big Husky. Very much a make or break round for the clubs of the South Coast. Kiama just edged out Illawarra here last season and the Coasters will be hoping history repeats itself.
The Batemans Bay Tri is Round 6 for the South Coast. New on the calendar and by this point in the season, every point is vital.
Wollongong is host to the penultimate Round. The Standard distance is the Performance Point earner which is also a Wolds Qualifying Event.
The final round is late May and Club Champs in Forster. It is once again a Double Points round which should mean that there is still a lot to play for on the Mid North Coast.
